Hi everyone! Sorry for the long time since writing. Always appreciate all the posts. Am praying for our elders. Seems like all of them are struggling, one way or another. On my Spring Break and just got back from visiting Kathleen and Craig for five days. She feels awful. Pregnancy is not treating her well. Reminds me of when I was pregnant with her and felt awful for the first 20 or so weeks. Craig is dealing with the aftermath of the big freeze a month ago and all the damage in their studio. The landlord refuses to fix things at this point so they are now dealing with lawyers and are closed. Not good. Steven is recovering from COVID, but is really tired but getting better. Mary feels fine. Had the Johnson and Johnson vaccine on the 8th. Kathleen got the first Pfizer shot last Thursday. Stay safe and healthy!

Thank you so much for posting an update Cindy! I really hope you and Jill can get to Casper to celebrate your mom's 85th birthday. Wish we could all be there to celebrate! Sounds like quite a storm you have had! My goodness! I know you don't like all the snow, but at least you are getting moisture! We are in a severe drought & things don't look good if we don't get some rain this spring! Safe travels to Casper! Thinking of you all as you have to make more decisions about your mom's care! Love you!

Hi everyone, Do most of my emails etc on the phone so don't get on the computer often. Have tried in vain to send messages via the phone email but this website is not very accomodating.
My mom is back at assisted living home after being in the hospital last week for ? UTI and dehydration, turned out for those of you who havent heard she was very dehydrated, enough so that she had an arrythmia in her heart due to low magnesium and potassium levels. She can't/won't feed herself any longer-probably related to end stage of dementia. Jill and I are planning to go to Casper to celebrate her 85th bday on Friday-we hope to leave Thursday and will plan to come home before the next storm hits on Sunday. Hope we can get there as I-25 has been shut down in WY since Saturday night, hoping it opens up today or tonight. LOTS of snow-26" in Casper-lots of blizzard conditions and black ice.
Decisions need to be made about what we can do as far as my Mom's care-hard to do via phone and the snow has thrown a monkey wrench into things as well because a lot of businesses are closed down right now so hard to talk with folks about what they offer. Will try to keep you all updated.
hope you all keep praying for our elder HHFers.

Thanks Barb for the updates & adding the fun old photos! Kevin & I send out love & healing thoughts to Aunt Audrey, Uncle Robert and for my mom's upcoming surgery. Kevin& I had our first COVID vaccine on Wednesday & other than a sore arm, we did fine. Hoping we do the same after #2. It was a gorgeous day here today, near 60 degrees. I got out & enjoyed it this afternoon. Took the side by side for a ride to town & walked in the park. Was great to see the kids playing in the park! Kevin & a crew of helpers helped sort more cattle at the farm. Hoping for prospective buyers to come soon!

I added some old pictures at the beginning of the "Old Pics" page. Found them when I was in Minot last month and thought you'd enjoy a walk down Memory Lane.
Am sending prayers/good thoughts/vibes for Audrey for healing. Dad has been feeling better and continued prayers are appreciated for him to get stronger. Know Bonnie has lots of pain with her legs/hips so more prayers going there too! Stay healthy everyone! Spring forward tonite.
Love, Barb

Hi All,
Here's a shot update -- Dad had his 2nd shot last Thurs. Mom was already done the month before. Sue got a J&J shot on Monday as TX opened up the vaccine for teachers (finally). Heard Val & Kevin were getting theirs yesterday. Winner to all! We are behind the next phase of 1.8 million MN people with health conditions, so will still be awhile for us.
Dad is doing much better after struggling with the racing heart again a couple of days ago. They changed his blood pressure medication (was too low) today so hope that helps. We had glorious weather last week -- got up to 60. Cooler this week and had thunderstorms yesterday. Sounds like Colorado might get buried. Stay healthy and Love to all!, Barb & Pete

Hi all, Just a brief note to tell you that I spent Sunday afternoon visiting Robert and Ardella.
Robert looks good, said he had his second shot of Covid , but had had a day of heart racing, but he couldn't remember if the shot was first or not. Some people have had reactions to the second shot, so I ried to tell him that was the case maybe. Spent about 45 minutes with Ardella, we watched the Little Rascals movie, she seemed to enjoy it and walked me out to the door when I had to leave. A good visit with them both. Bonnie F

Greetings everyone! The family website homepage has been updated for March! Love the bright green of the shamrocks! I went to visit Uncle Robert this afternoon. I had not visited him yet at his temporary home so was nice to see where he is hanging out. He has a very nice & comfortable room. Arno Weber was visiting too. I was going to visit Ardella, but when I left Robert's room & got outside it was snowing and starting to look like roads might get slick, so I decided to do the errands I had to do and go home. Kevin & Dad, along with a crew of about 5 others, worked close to 200 animals this weekend. Kevin is currently in the recliner! Mom has been dealing with back and knee pain & is taking it easy. She is scheduled to have knee replacement March 30th. Hoping that helps her situation. Love to all!

Glad to hear you made it home Barb! Hope your dad is feeling better. Will have to check in with him this week. Hope you & Pete enjoy some time together!

I made it back home last night after being in Minot over 3 wks. Dad had another racing heart episode at supper last nite, so he is taking it easy today and having meals brought to his room. Can't tell you how thankful he is there and has nurses around to help (versus being at home by himself).
Mom is doing great at the Memory Care facility across from Dad. I cut her hair and enjoyed visiting most every day. Update on our Texans -- they all have power, but Houstons are boiling their water. Thanks for all your prayers for our family. Love to all!

Part II -- our Texans. What a saga! Sue has been most fortunate to have power throughout. Steven and Mary were without power since the start of the storm, and finally got power this afternoon! Kathleen & Craig up in Dallas were intermittent with power. Know it's been so stressful for all of them, trying to keep watch over their houses, while trickling water (with virtually no water pressure now), etc. Praying for no damage and that the power remains ON!
