Just an update on Dad. He moved into Edgewood Vista Assisted Living this afternoon to get some physical therapy to get stronger and get back his mobility (expect two months worth). He is not happy to do this, but knows he really doesn't have a choice -- he doesn't want to be housebound. He got his first COVID shot (yeah) in his room, which was a relief. And his room is across the parking lot from Mom's building! Mom was busy playing "Wheel of Fortune" the other day and is doing well. Dad's phone number has been forwarded to Edgewood Vista (he has a crappy phone at the moment so can't hear well on it, but will get him the good phone tomorrow afternoon). Hello everyone! The family website has been updated for February! Talked with Barb this morning & sounds like Robert will be getting out of the hospital sometime today. Let's all send our love & healing thoughts to Uncle Robert as I know he is discouraged & needs some positive vibes! It is hard to see our "elders" dealing with so many health issues. We are in for a warming trend in ND again - could be near 40 degrees ABOVE zero by mid-week. Then it is going to cool off with lows below zero at night. Kevin has been retired one month, but says it does not feel like it. He spends most mornings at the farm helping dad with chores & seems like there is always something broken or needing attention there so not much "down" time for him. He can't say he is bored, that is for sure!

Just an update on Dad (as of Sat the 30th). He is still in the hospital and thinks he will probably get out tomorrow (Sun). They've given him an antibiotic for the lung infection, as well as prednisone, and yesterday an iron IV. Hopefully this gets him on the track for good health. So appreciate your continued prayers for healing. Barb

Dad is in the hospital (Weds). He has pneumonia and will be in about 3 days they think. He has been struggling with breathing. I am driving to Minot tomorrow. Prayers are so appreciated for healing! Huge kudos to Bonnie for going up to help Dad & getting a hold of the doctor who advised calling 911, and for sitting with him in the ER! Barb

Dad's vaccination got cancelled on Monday -- no vaccine! Total bummer! They rescheduled him for Friday -- I trust they will have vaccine then. So glad Audrey, Curt & Bonnie got theirs. Mom got her first shot Jan 6th.

Yay- sounds like our “old” HHFers are all going to be SAFE- congrats Bonnie & Curt on getting your covid vaccines! Talked with Barb yesterday and she said her mom already received hers at Edgewood and Uncle Bob was scheduled to get it today(Monday) My mom got hers at Mountain Plaza. Now for the next wave of “oldsters” (me included) I’m waiting in line!

Curt and I are very happy to have received our Co-Vid vaccinations this Friday. So far no major problems. We are on the schedule for 2nd shot in 21 days, and we are grateful to have gotten this shot to help protect us from the virus. Hopefully, more people will be as fortunate and life will improve.
