HAPPY LABOR DAY,everyone. Hope it was a good day. We covered the vegetables tonight as they are forecasting a freeze. So glad we aren't getting snow, like further west. Olga is on her way back to NC. We had a busy few days with lots of eating and visiiing. Olga and Val managed to repair my 34 year old curtain, so I am happy. We made it to Happy Cones just once Valand Olga visited with Robert and Ardella, I stayed home and took a nap. Hope for a good week in the harvesting, we may starrt cutting corn next week. Today was Ladies Day out for mom, Olga & I! We started our morning with coffee on the lawn at the Bergen Church! It was a beautiful morning & we were joined by Donna Holte, Clara Hauck & Sandee Michalenko. Then we continued on to Anamoose & had a wonderful lunch at the Farmtastic Food Hub. Next stop was the big city of Orrin, ND & the onto a Rugby for some shopping. Was a nice day! On a sad note, Kevin’s sister Kathy lost her husband this morning from complications of COVID. He had been on a respirator since last weekend. Kathy also has COVID & pneumonia.
So has been a roller coaster week. Stay safe everyone!

Hello HHFs! The family website has been updated for September! Hope you all are doing well! Things are cooling off in ND and feels like fall is in the air! We are looking forward to a visit from Olga, who arrive tomorrow (Wed)! Hope you all enjoy the Labor Day weekend! Hard to believe summer is coming to an end already. Love you all!

Glad to hear that everyone is okay. Today I took a road trip to Minot to see brother Robert and Ardella and to bring some fresh vegetables from my garden to them. Carl dug some carrots as I know they are Robert's fvorite. We had a good visit and enjoyhed apple pie brought by LaVon. I stopped to wish Edward Schmaltz a HAPPY BIRTHDAY , is 90! A fellow Bergenite, 10 years older than me and still gooing strong! Have a good and safe week everyone. Bonnie F

Just an update that Sue and family had no issues with the hurricane. All is well here in Minnesota. I went to Mt. Carmel Bible Camp a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my friend Marcella's 60th birthday -- a girl's party. We rented 3 deluxe cabins -- was so fun. Just got back from watching our great-niece (Pete's side) play softball. Stay healthy and well everyone! Love, Barb (Pete too)
