Howdy ho everyone and thank you all for the bday wishes. Had a great day paddle boarding on Carter Lake with Chance, Chelsea and Dave. I have to admit that Dave and I spent most of the time floating but we all laughed so hard and really enjoyed being out together. Dave is having issues with his blood pressure again which is the worst thing possible for his heart. They're trying to treat it with medication so fingers crossed. If medication doesn't work he'll likely have to another stent procedure because it means that his kidneys and legs aren't getting enough blood - ugh! It's just been very difficult between his health issues and dealing with everything going on with mom. My grandchildren are my source of happiness and they love to give it thankfully! Was wonderful to read that Deb, Shelley and Carl all were able to come home and spend a little time on the farm. Also loved the old pic Barb. Love and miss you all.

Happy belated birthday greetings to Desi & hope you all had a nice July 4th! We had a busy week as Carl & Deb were home. The list of projects never seems to end... We did enjoy some rest & relaxation on July 4th. We had a nice picnic at our house - lots of good food, visiting and some fun with Yardzee! The Able Eighties beat the Whippersnappers! It was pretty warm and humid! Kevin was up early to take the travelers to the airport early Sunday morning! We visited our grand nephew Walter & drove to Lake Sakakawea for supper & a nice pontoon ride on the lake last evening. Was very nice. Hope you all are doing well! We are looking forward to a visit from Shelley in a few weeks! Summer is busy!

your Yardzee victory! (Does anyone remember the "AARPies" tie in badminton against the young whipper snappers)?
All is well here. Enjoyed talking to Audrey on Friday. I mentioned Dr. Hordinski and we started talking about the good old days. Was great fun
to hear about her first jobs in Minot and when she roomed with Mom & Lois. Fun memories.

happy birthday Desiree! Hope you had a very nice day! I am resting up after havung Carl and Deb here for over a week. They were busy with calf i.d., filling a large metal container, Deb and Val stained both of my decks, Carl built more fence, all sorts of playing with our new dog, Shadow. The 4th we spent at the heislers along with Robert and Ardella, Lauren, Mavis and Bruce Larson, lots of food and we een played a yard game of YAHTZEE1 Which the old foggies beat the Whipper Snappers for a prize of doughnuts! Lots ofr fun on a very wrm day. Bonnie F

Hello HHFs! The family website has been updated for July! Hope everyone has a wonderful July 4th. Velva is not having its traditional parade or July 4th activities so will be different. Carl & Deb are home for visits so hoping we can spend some time relaxing & visiting on July 4th as they both leave early the morning of July 5th. We received some much needed rain yesterday - about 2 inches, so the crops and pastures should be happy! Carl, Deb, mom and I went on a little road trip yesterday afternoon. Our destination was the Hurd Roundhouse near Hurdsfield, but we had to change our plans after getting caught in a severe thunderstorm in Harvey - they got nearly 6 inches of rain! We enjoyed a nice evening meal at the 1909 Steakhouse in Anamoose. Sun is shining today! Love to all!

Beautiful day in ND! Mom & I participated in a "silver linings" parade for the residents of the Souris Valley Care Center & Valley View Manor who have not been able to get out or have visitors for SO long! I drove the Verendrye Electric electric car & mom flashed a sign for the residents! Great event!

Wishing all the HHF Father's a Happy Father's Day this weekend! My hubby has been will not be resting much, he has been working very long days and will be working Saturday too. Camper sales have been CRAZY! People must have money! His boss even offered to pay him $50 an hour EXTRA to work the next two Saturdays! Of course my dad doesn't take any time off either, but hoping we can at least share a meal together on Sunday! Best wishes to all the dads!

Hi all HHF'S Guess I need to send a note about our addition, dog SHADOW! He is a heeler, dachshound, Beagle cross , at least that was the people who had him said. I believe he has Australian shepherd in him and no dachshound, he loves to run, he loves being with Curt and likes me too, but he has one big fault, he chases my cats! Val bought me the book written by "Lucky Dog" rescuer, trying to read it , but s o much going on, garden, mowing, Dr. apt, stc. will try and find some answers in there.Bonnie F
