Hello HHFs! I have updated the website for October! Be sure you check out the front page! We have some BIG milestone birthdays coming up in October! Bonnie is celebrating her 80th BD on October 13th! Kevin & I are driving her to Minneapolis to see the Minnesota Vikings play the Philadelphia Eagles! Shelley will be flying in to meet us & we are hoping to have a BD supper with Barb & Pete! Just hope the Vikes can play better than they did today!

Thank you Val for posting about Merle. I remember what a kind man he was and I am so thankful that I was able to visit with him at the family reunion.

Today we said good-bye to Merle. Such a nice service. His daughter Rhonda sang "How Great thou Art" and the Lord's Prayer and it was absolutely beautiful! Grandson Tyler Gefroh gave the eulogy. The entire service was a beautiful tribute to Merle. There were lots of the Helstedt/Haga family members there and lots of visiting.

Wanted to let all of you know that Merle Holte passed away this morning at the Velva Nursing home. His health had rapidly declined the past 3 weeks & he was moved to the care center last Friday. Please keep Donna & the Holte Family in your prayers. Merle was diagnosed with MS over 30 years ago & in spite of his diagnosis he enjoyed a full life with Donna by his side. She has been an angel, caring for him in their home all these years & making sure he was able to be out in the community enjoying many activities.

Hi Shelley birthday girl and hi everyone else.
Just heard from Shelley this evening and she has a girlfriend at her house in beautiful West Virginia, they are having birthday food and fun and are going to have a bonfire, drink wine and smoke cigars!
Sounds like so much fun! Enjoy, but don't start fires in the woods. Last year we celebrated together. was a great time. Hope all HHFers ARE DOING WELL. lOVE, bONNIE f
