Hi all. I have just finished week 1 of a long-planned 3 weeks off. Wooza did I need it! Spent a week in paradise at the most beautiful house in San Pancho Nariyat, Mexico. My journalist friend took so many nice pictures so I"ll post one here.

I'm planning a lot of things to get back to taking care of me. Starting off with serious R & R and hours of dancing per day was definitely the way to go!

Hope everyone is well. I did an entire week off of digitial device, so, sorry I missed some family dates last week.

Hi everyone! Just wrote a long message and hit the button that I am done and it didn't show up. Bummer! So, here's a shorter version.
Had a great time visiting my folks. An added bonus was dinner at Val and Kevin's house along with Curt and Bonnie.
A broken wrist, Cindy! So sorry. No fun. Let Ron pamper you and heal up.
The Deer Park chemical plant fire did not send smoke my way even though I'm about 15 miles from the plant. I'm southwest of it and all the smoke headed north, east or northwest. My school district did not close as many others did. My house is located within the boundaries of one of the ones that closed for four days, but my district is further south so we had school as usual.

Oh dear Cindy! A broken wrist! That sucks! You need to take it easy and let everyone else wait on you! You always do so much for everyone else! Heal up fast! We had 50 degrees on Saturday and only 30 today, but that is OK as the water came up pretty fast when it was melting so much. This will give things a chance to catch up and get some of the water through here. Does not look like any flooding should occur here. No big rains in the forecast so that is good. Hope mom is enjoying her time in NC! She needs a break!

Hi all-I did a test a few days ago because my texts don't seem to be going through.
Had a great time with my mom for her bday, she thanks everyone for the bday wishes. Des, Jill, and I were there along with John, Candy, and the kids- had a nice celebration!
I fell on the ice and broke my wrist a week ago so hard to do much.
Glad Bonnie is getting away to stay with Carl and Olga- have fun and relax!
That's all for now!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO Chance Connor and also to Dave Connor! Hope you both had a great day! \I am leaving tomorrow morning for a visit to Cary NC to see Carl Olga and our two grand pups! Really need a little time away from the farm and all that is always going on here. We might go to Charleston SC for a short trip to see some sights I will be back on April 1st! Hope Curt can handle all there is to do alone-I won't be here to watch out the window for unexpected things and also to open and shut gate and many more trivial things that I am able to do in my old age.
Should be warm and flowers blooming in Cary! Love to all, Bonnie F

Happy Birthday to Aunt Audrey, Dave and Chance! Hope you all have wonderful birthdays! I returned last night from a quick trip to AZ. The weather was beautiful and I got out for a walk one or twice a day. We visited the Mesa Swap Meet, Organ Stop Pizza, an Olive Farm/Mill and just enjoyed visiting out on my friends patio. While there I also got to visit an urgent care clinic as I got shingles and my traveling partner from Minot passed out so I got to practice my CPR/First Aid skills. I could have done without these two things, but that is life.

Hope everyone is enjoying a nice day on this first day of spring!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUDREY!! I'm writing for all the "H's" (Helstedts) who wish you a fabulous birthday and grand, healthy year!! Here's a pic of you and your siblings from 2007 -- you look wonderful (and still do)! Hope you had a nice celebration and got to indulge in some cake.

All is well here. Highlight of my week last week was getting to meet Sue at the Mpls airport when she was flying through from Minot to Houston. The time was too short but was so great to see her in person! Just finished our taxes -- woo hoo! Indeed the form was shorter this year, but had to attach two more sheets. We got rid of a lot of our mountains of snow when it rained a couple of days. Now it's been sunny and starting to warm into the 40's and is supposed to hit 50 on Thursday. Maybe Spring really is around the corner!
Love to All! Robert, Ardella, Sue, Pete and Barb

Just got back from Puerto Vallarta last night. We had a wonderful vacation -- fabulous weather and we met so many nice people (3 couples from North Dakota including one from Glenburn at the PV airport). The beach life is fabulous -- indeed we sipped our cocktails under the umbrella and watched all the action on the ocean -- whales and dolphins and kite surfers and boogie boarders. Think we tried every kind of daiquiri they had -- mango, strawberry, banana, strawberry/banana and lime. Was hoping Spring would be here when we came back but alas, not the case. Hope everyone is doing great! Love to everyone. B & P

Nick was in Washington with me yesterday. We hit a LOT of highlights in one day! Started with a US Capitol tour at 10:45 a.m. and ended with solemn visits to Jefferson Monument and Vietnam memorial at 10:30 p.m. Nick got to the Udvar Hazy Center of the National Air and Space Museum today, Sunday.

Bring warm weather with you Sue! Hope to see you when you are in ND. I am heading to AZ on March 14th. Looking forward to some warmer weather there. It is bitter cold here this weekend. We are enjoying watching the State Class B Girls basketball tournament this weekend. Rugby is playing against Kindred for the state championship game! Velva lost to Rugby by 2 points to get to state so we are hoping they win.
