It's raining in Greeley today! How wonderful to have some relief from the heat:)
Returned from Casper last evening, stayed with my Mom for a few days. We had a nice visit, spent a couple evenings with John, Candy, and the kids, Candy is always so good to make yummy meals and to call us to join them, Mom says she invites her over frequently. The whole family is always quite entertaining and then we even took a trip to Menards-woohoo! Mom enjoyed it said she hadn't been out there in a long time. She saw the dermatologist while I was there and had a couple of areas biopsied and one area frozen off, nothing major but she thought it was a big deal, any doctor apt seems to be, Ha! Did get her blood pressure medicine decreased as checks showed it was running pretty low. Hope she starts having a little more "pep". I think the heat is getting to everyone it seems. Sounds like the entire US is hot, hot, hot!
Hope you're all well. Keep posting!

So nice to have Erica home for a few days. She will be busy with golf tournament and Heisler relatives and seeing her high school friends. We had lunch together here at the farm yesterday with Mom and Dad and Curt and I. Another hot day here in ND, but it sounds like it will cool off later today. KEEP COOL Bonnie F

Hey Family - thank you so much for all of the bday cards and wishes! I just can't believe that I'm 55 wowsa. My apologies for not being on the family website very often. I need to get better about posting again. We're all good. I had a fantastic bday and would highly recommend the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit (such tremendous biblical history). Our business has been slow and our parent company just underwent a merger so who knows what's going to happen to our sand terminal. The constant uncertainty of the oilfield world is not for the timid lol. Chance is doing great. He's iron working in Denver (building skyscrapers) but living in Greeley with his girlfriend. We usually see him on the weekends :-) Dave and I have been busy doing some house remodeling (we added an exterior office to the back of the house) and dealing with our old dogs and all of their issues ugh. I swear pets are worse than people. It has been so HOT down here and it seems like the entire state is on fire. The smoke sometimes is just terrible. My AC went out in the house on the 3rd but the repairman was able to get it back running by the afternoon - YIKES. Thanks again everyone for the terrific bday greetings. Stay cool and love you all.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Desiree! Hope you are enjoying a nice day and getting some birthday cake! The day after the fourth is always kind of slow, I am slow at least. My garden is needing attention, tomorrow the heat wave hits us.
I rode in Goldie B's 1957 Chevrolet in the parade on the 4th, she has won the car category the last 2 years, but didn't get it this year. Maybe there was too much Elvis stuff in the car. Robert and Ardella paid us an afternoon visit so that was nice, we haven't seen them in Velva for quite some time. Thinking of all of you sweltering in the heat, guess we will be in that situation tomorrow. Love, Bonnie F

Hello all- Happy belated 4th of July(hope you all had a "bang-up time", A special birthday wish to little sister, Desiree. Spoke with her earlier and she and Dave were on their way to Denver for a leisurely lunch then were going to the Natural History Museum for the exhibit of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Hoping to see that at some point while its still here but tend to procrastinate so hard to say if it will happen. Jill and I are taking Des out for lunch this weekend to celebrate her special day, we all live pretty close to each other but don't get together that often so will be nice to sit and visit.
Ron and I stayed home yesterday, talked with my Mom and went to visit his folks but otherwise nothing too exciting. Guess since it was in the middle of the week most people weren't doing too much, thank goodness I don't have to go back to work anymore-ha! Haven't been called to work in quite a while, several of the doctors have left Greeley and they aren't using any extra help- fine with me. Plan to do flu shots this fall and that's enough!
Planning to go to Casper next week to see my Mom and the other Hultman clan, would like to talk my Mom into coming to Greeley for a visit but she's content to stay home whenever any of us suggest it.
Hope you're all having a good summer, maybe you could post about your adventures(hint, hint)

Happy Birthday to Desi today! Have a great day! Hope everyone had a nice 4th of July! We had a nice relaxing day. Went to Velva's parade, helped with the annual Womans Club Cake Walk, visited with friends in the park, enjoyed a nice supper with mom and dad at the Velva Golf Course, enjoyed an evening ride on the side by side to the north pasture & then a wonderful fireworks show in the Velva Park. It was such a nice day here - cooler temps, a bit breezy, but way better than super hot and humid!

Greetings everyone! I have updated the family website for July! Hard to believe it is already the 4th of July this week. With the holiday being in the middle of the week, will be weird to work two days, then one day off, then work two more. I may have to call in sick a couple days!

Yesterday Kevin and I helped mom & dad work some bulls and move them to the pasture. Some of them are so big and scary. One took after dad. Thank goodness for Kevin's help. He squeezed their head in the chute. Mom filled syringes and got the ear tags ready. I helped with the back pour and getting them in and out of the chute. Was wearing my muck boots and my feet were awful tired and achy last night. This old girl needs some support in her shoes.

Mom and I went to Minot to Robert's juneberry patch to pick berries this morning. There are lots of berries, but most were not ripe so we did not get too many, but we did enjoy a trip to Tim Horton's for doughnuts and coffee!

Guess I better get to some more business before the weekend is over! Wishing you all a Happy 4th of July!

Hi all, Just read your posts and I just have to say-I LOVE A MONKEY RIDING ON A DOG! ha ha! Sounds like everyone is busy into summer, I agree the Swedish American Institute sounds like a place I'd like to see, I'll have to ask my Mom if she remembers visiting it with Bonnie.
Seems like we haven't done anything too exciting for awhile. Jenny and Matt are going to Vegas for a few days so we agreed to go to their place next Tuesday to give one of the kitties his steroid medicine-hope he'll come out and take it, Buddy's a little "skidish" usually. Wow, we need to get out and see or do something exciting if that's all I have to report!
My Mom is getting Meals on Wheels 3 days a week now and she says she really likes it, try to call often, she got a new cell phone when she came to Greeley because the other one "died", even though its very similar she can't seem to figure out how to call out on it. We also got her a new house phone as that one was acting up too, it doesn't have a message machine so now can't leave messages but its suppose to be less complicated. London just sent a picture of Grandma in a facial mask she applied to her while she's there for dinner, I said she looked like something out of "Night of the Living Dead" which made London laugh it up! So glad to hear when they all get together, she seems to be doing pretty well and she just LOVES when the kids come around!
Everyone have (or should I say keep having) fun!

Great to see some posts here! So happy that Sue and Barb are spending some time together, that is awesome! The Swedish American Institute sounds like a place to put on my list of things to see and do! I know mom and Audrey made a visit there one time they met in Minneapolis. That was a few years ago! Enjoy your time together!

Hi all HHF'S Happy Father's Day to all dads. We had a steak dinner, steaks courtesy of Val and also she furnished wild asparagus which we grilled. Very tasty, I furnished the rest. Dads were remembered by all kids and now we are all full. I went with Goldie B. to the McLean County Fair last night, we really went to see the Elvis impersonator, Danny Elvis, who was very good and also took in a small town fair which was so much fun including a Banana Derby which consisted o 2 dogs ridden by by some very small monkeys dressed up like jockeys, the kids just loved it and the grownups too. My first time at a county fair, hope to go again, it was so fun. WE got more rain, so the grass is long, tasted my first garden radishes, and mowing will be going on again. Looking forward to Shelleys visit this coming weekend, also for Curt's sisters to be here and other relatives. Love to all, Bonnie F

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO THE BEST DAD EVER!! And all the HHFer Dads! We love you the most!!
Sue, Barb & Pete reporting from hot and muggy Mpls. Sue is visiting for a week and we're having a fabulous time. Attached is a pic of the American Swedish Institute, which was incredible. We had Swedish meatballs (with juniper berries in the meat) with lingonberry preserves, etc. Was wonderful. The mansion was incredible -- very impressive. It had 11 different Swedish ceramic tile fireplaces in various and they decorated the ceilings & mouldings to match.
Sorry Val that we haven't been posting - has been pretty busy. Sue is done with school for the summer - back in late July.
Hope everyone is healthy and well!
Love to all!, Sue, Pete & Barb

Happy Birthday to Olga today (Saturday)! We hope you enjoy your day immensely!

I feel like I am the only person that is ever on this site? It feels lonely! We need some more people posting news!

I survived my 34th Annual Meeting at VEC on Thursday! Glad to have that done! Going to spend the weekend preparing for next weekend. Working on plans for a co-workers retirement party on Saturday at the Roosevelt Zoo & then Sunday we are having a little get together at the church in Bergen with Feist aunts Ramona & Phyllis who are traveling to ND for a visit. Ramona is 88 & Phyllis is 90! Their daughters are bringing them. Shelley is also flying in for a long weekend. Will be fun!

Wishing all the dads out there a Happy Father's Day!!!
