HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTIE BONNIE! I'm posting this at 7PM so hopefully it shows the correct date. It sounds like you have/had a busy day planned with lots of good food - yummy! I hope you have two pieces of cake!

Dave and I are busy painting our house. The weather has been so nice and we're taking it slow but it's still a huge job! While most of our house is brick (the lower portion) all of the siding is up high so lots of ladder and scaffolding work - ugh!

Anyways happy birthday again to Bonnie and Marley too. Hope you both have a fantastic day. Love to all.

Hello all! The "Fister Sisters" are back from New Orleans and we had a wonderful time together exploring the city of New Orleans! I definitely would go back again as there is still alot of things I would like to see. I will try and get some photos posted. Just got my suitcase unpacked last night and still have laundry to get done. Congrats to Steven! So happy to hear you got a job in your field. We had snow here yesterday but looks like we will have some warmer temps this weekend. Time to clean out the garden!

Happy belated birthday to Carl! Hope you had a good day! I am spending the week in New Orleans! What a fascinating city! I made my inaugural trip to Bourbon Street & quite frankly, I really don't need to go again, but... Have to make sure Deb & Shelley & I experience it together! Had a fun evening last night listening to some great jazz music at the Spotted Cat on Frenchman St. I was at a conference from Monday till today at noon. Deb arrived this evening & Shelley comes tomorrow. We are staying together in the Garden Distict where there are beautiful old homes! Mansions! Deb began her southern culinary experience with red beans & rice tonight! I have indulged in the Hurricane drink! Had 3 at a social the first night of the conference! Yikes! Needless to say, I went to bed as soon as I got back to my room! Tomorrow we go on a walking tour , Friday a bike tour possibly the insectarium so Shelley can visit some bugs!

Happy Birthday Carl! I hope you're doing something special and that you and Olga aren't having to deal with any hurricane weather - yikes!

We're supposed to be getting a cold front tonight so there goes all of the beautiful leaves on the trees ugh! We even had snow last night in the mountains so it won't be long before it hits down here.

Not much happening with us. Oil prices are creeping up so that's good!

Chance and John participated in the final truck pull of the season last weekend. It was in a little town called Brush which is about an hour from here. There were so many trucks involved that we didn't get home until after 2AM and the pull started at 6PM! Needless to say, I'm ready for the break.

Erica how's the new job going - do you like it? Shelley Ruth how was your birthday and did you do anything fun?

Svetlana will be able to travel to Florida
tomorrow. I can't hardly believe that the baby of our family is 52 years old! Time surely is flying by. We had another big rain last night, so no field work for quite a few days again. We will try to call tonight to give birthday wishes in person on the phone. Love, Mom

Hi realized when I was getting ready to make my Easy Cream Cheese Danish for a meeting that I had promised to post it on the web site for all who might want it(very yummy and easy to make)

Easy Cream Cheese Breakfast Danish
Ingredients:
2 cans refrigerated cresent roll dough
1-8ounce pkg cream cheese
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons sour cream
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a cookie sheet. Do not unroll the tube of cresent rolls. Instead, cut the roll into 8 equal pieces. Working the dough with your hands, flatten each piece into a disk and make a well in the center for the cream cheese filling.
In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, white sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract and sour cream. Spread a spoonful of filling into the center of each dough "well". Bake in preheated oven until golden. Enjoy!
Hope you like them, I make them fairly often for events when I don't want to work too hard lol.
Been working a bit this week giving flu shots. Ron and I will be going to Estes Park this weekend to put up some signs for the condo property, hope it hasn't been too cold so all the leaves are gone(supposedly had some snow last weekend).
I'm loving the fall weather. Hope everyone else is too.

Hope you did something special, living in such a big, exciting city I'm sure there is always activities going on. The wishes are belated but SO sincere for our fun cousin Shelley -- hope you had a fantastic birthday and have a fantastic year!

Huge thanks Val for posting the pics of your trip to Casper. Looks like you guys had a wonderful time (but of course) and lots of fun! Can't believe London and Talon. Everyone looks great!

Looking forward to a trip to Minot Tuesday (although it sounds like the weather is taking a dive while we're there). Today was incredible here -- a top 10 weather day -- about 82 and sunny.
