HAPPY BIRTHDAY today to my sister Shelley! Love you and sure wish I could spend the day with you! Wishing you a special day!

The birthday girl celebrated yesterday with friends by going on a Pirate Ship excursion on the Potomac River! Am sharing a photo she sent me. Looked like lots of fun!

Wishing you many more birthday adventures!

Happy Anniversary to Cindy & Ron! Hope your day was fantastic & you did something special to celebrate!

It was a beautiful day in ND! I spent the morning washing windows! The sun was HOT so I was sweating! Kevin mowed the lawn & did some things around home. I had a coffee date at the Swedish Eliminate Lutheran Church with my friend Rhoda. I dressed up in a dress, one of my awesome hats & some great vintage earrings I found this summer. Was nice except for all the flys!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Congratulations on becoming a homeowner Jenny! You can compare notes with Erica now! She keeps pretty busy with decorating and getting her house fixed up the way she'd like it. She did paint her extra bathroom upstairs today and applied some very cute decals in a number of rooms.

As for the wedding planning, I am agree with Cindy a girl can always DREAM! However, my pintrest addiction to wedding ideas is because we have a niece getting married next summer & Erica is the maid of honor so we need to plan a bridal shower and bachlorette party. Need to be looking for ideas!

Had a group of ladies over for breakfast this morning, which was nice & something I never do. Then spent the rest of the day at my father-in-laws house working with my sister-in-law Amy to get it cleaned up and ready for showing. The guys worked all day on projects in the basement. Hopefully we get the "For Sale" sign out this weekend. It will be one year September 15th since Kevin's dad passed away. It's time to get this done.

Hope everyone is having a nice Labor day weekend. Wish I was in Vegas with Cindy! On a side note, a $2 million lotto ticket was sold in North Dakota this week!

Hi all, Ron and I are in Vegas for the Labor Day weekend. Talked with Erica last evening, she had been at a "spa day" (facial, mani, pedi, the "works")wish I would have gotten here earlier I might have joined her-lol! We are hoping to get to see her new home and visit a while but she was doing a painting project today and that is what I am trying to get away from-WORK! If I was a good person I would have offered to help but....well, you know. Ha! Tonight we are going downtown to see the old classic bands-Kansas(Carry On My Wayward Son) and Blue Oyster Cult(Don't Fear The Reaper) This was the original excuse to come as these are bands Ron wanted to see(we have seen them before, but as I said this was the excuse) We are staying in a non-casino hotel, the Element, in Summerlin, NV just a suburb of Vegas but gorgeous, Erica says there is a new shopping area downtown here so definitely want to check that out(and gals you know how all guys like to shop)
Jenny is officially a homeowner, she closed on Sept. 3rd, we are all so happy the process is over and now the fun of decorating, projects begin. She is a "pintrest" person and has gotten lots of ideas that she'd like to do(on a side note, she wondered if Val is planning a wedding since she is pinning a lot of wedding ideas-is there any news we need to know about? lol) I advised Jen that maybe shes like me and loves to view all the possibilities. A girl can dream, right!!
Well, will close for now will post if I become a "rich" woman!

Hello all! I have updated the home page of the family website for the month of September, be sure & check it out!

It has been HOT, HOT, HOT is North Dakota! Today we are expecting a cool down & then a rainy, cooler weekend for Labor Day. Have many things on my list of things I would like to do this weekend, none that are FUN.

Have enjoyed having Carl here for a visit this past week. He came to ND to escape the heat and humidity of NC, but afraid that did not happen. He leaves this afternoon to return to NC.

Wishing everyone a nice holiday weekend no matter what your plans are!

Love to all!

HI EVERYONE, missed wishing grandson Nick and also Eric HAPPY BIRTHDAY yesterday. We did finally talk to Nick last night on the phone. We had a fun one day trip to Lake Darling Dam and Mouse River Park yesterday. I have always wanted to see where this dam is since it causes such problems for us downstream. Finally got to go with the Heislers and Carl. Not a drop of water was being released, suppose they are waiting for next spring HA WE TOOK some photos and enjoyed seeing the Mouse River park which is along the Mouse.,Souris river and also has water issues. Stopped at the Danish Mill in Kenmare and also in Minot, before getting home with supper for Curt who had been trying to cut hay. Will be a busy week with Carl here to help. Always my best,Bonnie

Happy Birthday today to Nick & Eric! Wishing you both a great day & great year ahead!

Last night was the Bergen Picnic! Fun evening! We had the church open & enjoyed visits from 40-50 people. Always fun to visit & people LOVE to look at the old class photos. Lots of wonderful food at the potluck & karaoke & dancing at the school!

Hello all! Happy Friday! Wishing everyone a great weekend! Carl flies in tonight so Mom and I will heading to Minot to pick him up, we will be out on the town late! Tomorrow evening there is a Bergen picnic at the school. Planning to open up the church for a few hours (4-6) in case anyone wants to look at some school memorabilia.

I have posted a few photos taken at the burial for Claudia Gillespie last Saturday at the Bergen cemetery. They are in the folder titled "In memory of Claudia".

You will see that some of the "older" photos have been removed off the website. We were running up against out limit and doesn't make sense to pay for more space, so if you are wondering, that is why.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi everyone, haven't posted for quite a while, so will let you all know what is up at the Feist ranch. Yes, we did eat the northern pike that grandson Nick caught in the Mouse river, it was very tasty except for all the bones, which none of us really knew how to filet the fish. We had so much fun while they visited, now it is almost time for Nick's birthday, and he is back in Ames at college. This weekend Carl will be coming for about a week's visit. He was hoping to get away from the hot and humid weather, guess what , we are going to have a very hot weekend, hope it isn't too much for him. I got an acupuncture treatment on Monday and I must say it is really helping me with the symtoms of PMR which I have been diagnosed with. Off the predisone, so I feel was a major accomplishment for me. Got to take it a little easier and avoid STRESS, kind of hard to avoid around here.
A change in diet is also something I need to do but I love bread, cookies, pie, bars, and anything sweet. All for now, hope all is well with everyone. Love, Bonnie

Hi all, Just got home from church-seems like fall here the last few mornings, definitely cool in the am hours.
Love the now and then pics of the "big one that didn't get away" Fishing at the farm! Did the fish get eaten or just pictures and bragging rights?
Nothing much new here, just same old same old. Could use some excitement but guess shouldn't complain because it could be "bad" excitement. Ha!
Our long weekend to Vegas can't come soon enough for me, in need of some R&R. John, Candy, and the kids are on vacation at present driving the coast highway in California, were in Hollywood last night and sent me some beautiful pictures of the night views from the iconic Hollywood sign. I guess I'll have to enjoy someone elses vaca.
Guess I better get to some of my "to do" list. Enjoy the cool nights.

Happy 13th Birthday to Talon! Wow - a teenager! Hope your day is very special, just like you! Wish we could be sharing cake & ice cream with you! Have some for us too!

We have been having a great week! Shelley arrived a week ago yesterday (Sunday) & Nick & Deb arrived on Thursday about 10:00 p.m. after a long series of delays. The time has gone fast & all three of them head back to their homes tomorrow (Tues.).

Highlights include: A trip to the Audubon National Wildlife refuge with Shelley & mom with additional stops at the renovated Riverdale high school for lunch & a visit to Sandy Weigel in Beulah; a little painting at the Bergen church as well as two lovely picnics there (one with Robert, Ardella & Sue), fishing in the river (Nick was successful in catching a nice Northern), sharing a ride with mom & dad & Nick to the North Pasture & ice cream cones afterwards, celebrating NIck's 22nd birthday early with a steak supper, fire & star gazing & space station tracking into the late evening hours, and lots of "cat watching" at the farm. The weather has been unbelievably beautiful! I will try to post a few photos in addition to the one on the left of Nick with Grandma & Grandpa Feist in the north pasture.

Kevin has been in Las Vegas with our niece Tasha to visit Erica. They have also been busy. Kevin built Erica a "farmhouse" table to put under her covered patio. They did some outlet mall shopping, Erica and Tasha did the flying zipline under the canopy on Fremont St., Kevin gambled at Green Valley Ranch & won some money while the girls laid by the pool & they people watched at Margaritaville!

Congrats to Jenny on buying a condo! That is exciting! Know there can be frustration over the time it takes to get all the paperwork done, but it will be worth it to have your own place!

Everyone sounds busy! Love to all!

Today is August 9th -- and TALON IS A TEENAGER! Look out world! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Talon!! Know you're having a great time celebrating this weekend with your fun aunts and grandma and your family! Have a great time - wish we were there with you.
Had a lovely weekend. Got to see Sue at the airport when she had a layover between Minot and Houston. Was wonderful to see her and she had a great time in ND.
Spent Fri eve vacuuming our deck (Talon, take note, with our Kenmore Elite with "Intelliclean" technology). Had an ant problem due to rotting wood, so had to have one wall of the screened-in porch re-done. Definitely was not a do-it-yourself project, so marital bliss is intact because we hired it out!
Hope everyone is doing great! Can't wait to hear details about the ND and WY/CO crews! Congrats Jen on the new condo!!
Love, Barb & Pete
